Join conservation photographer and author Dave Showalter for an opening of his photography exhibit at Headwaters River Journey, based on the book Living River: The Promise of the Mighty Colorado, published by Braided River. 

The exhibit will launch on October 17, 2025, and remain up from October-December 2025.

Join us on Friday, October 17, 2025, for the opening of our newest exhibition from 4:30–7:00 PM. The evening begins with a cocktail hour from 4:30, where guests can explore the museum and mingle. At 5:30 PM, enjoy a special presentation by Dave followed by a Q&A session. The event concludes with time to revisit the museum, connect with others, and take part in a book signing. Museum admission will be free and light appetizers and wine will be provided.

This 20-piece photography exhibit brings the story of the Colorado River Basin to life, illuminating the beauty, fragility, and urgency of protecting this essential watershed.

About the Author:

Dave Showalter brings decades of experience to this work, documenting the American West. A Senior Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers, Showalter has dedicated his career to revealing the intricate connections between landscapes, wildlife, and human communities.
