The Events Manager will be responsible for sales and day of execution operations for events at Headwaters Center. Full time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Events Manager will work on-site in Winter Park, Colorado, and report to the General Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Professional and timely response to all external event leads, in coordination with General Manger that come in through Tripleseat, The Knot, Wedding Wire, email, phone, website, walk-in, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors throughout the event process including the handling of inquiries, developing BEO’s, drawing up floor plans, making follow-up calls and successful day-of-event execution.
  • Develop and submit proposals to all leads and conduct tours of facility.
  • Lead and assist as needed with event set-up and tear down of event tables, chairs and linens.
  • Oversight of contractors who fulfill bartending, dishwashing, serving, setup, take down, and volunteer shifts including monitoring of hours and performance.
  • Oversee event logistics. Step into serving, set-up, tear down, etc roles when needed.
  • Post Event: in conjunction with General Manager, submit final invoicing including all beverage consumption, summarize event reports and send customer satisfaction surveys

Skills Required:

  • 3- 5 Years of event management experience. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Positive attitude and team oriented
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management
  • Reliable source of transportation
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Dropbox. Comfort with Facebook and Instagram social media postings.

The Headwaters Center is a multi-use 501 c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to water conservation, education and community outreach. The Center provides unique meeting and event space for rent, hosts a variety of community and cultural programs and provides access to higher education. The Center also houses the Headwaters River Journey, a one-of-a-kind water museum with 31 interactive exhibits showing the vital role headwaters play in our environment, economy and Colorado lifestyle. The center has over 10,000 square feet of interior public space plus an outdoor amphitheater that seats approximately 500.
