Kids’ Culinary Workshops
We’re Making Energy Bites!
Two sessions: 9am-10:30am, 10:45am-12:15pm | Limit 10 children per workshop | Suggested ages: 5-18
Let’s shake up snack time for your kids! Join our fun and exciting culinary class to learn how to make new snacks made with real food at home. During this workshop your child can experiment with new ingredients while learning functional kitchen skills that support their growth and development. At the same time, we’ll provide tips to help you save time and money by not buying expensive processed foods that are also deficient in nutrients. These energy bites can serve as breakfast, school snack, pre- or post-work snack, as well as dessert! Bites are gluten-free, dairy-free, and can be adjusted for any allergies. Chef and instructor Katie is a Certified Nutrition Therapist Practitioner with an interest in human performance and excellence. Katie has pursued educational and career avenues that have incorporated strength and conditioning, sports and performance psychology, personal cheffing, and nutrition. She integrates aspects from each of these disciplines into comprehensive holistic programs to optimize performance as well as to help families navigate the kitchen. Katie learns what interests and motivates individuals and in turn creates customized programs that provide the “why’s” behind the specific steps that support achieving those goals.
