General Manager will work onsite in Winter Park, Colorado. Reports directly to the Executive Director and assists in strategic direction, operations, and marketing of the Center.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
FACILITY OPERATIONS
- Manage day-to-day operations of the facility
- Receive and approve onsite deliveries
- Remit corresponding invoices to accounting
- Prepare tax spreadsheets
- Reconcile and monitor petty cash and submit deposits to the bank
- Manage and train contractors, direct reports, and volunteers
- Conduct monthly inventory and order alcohol, beverages, cleaning products, linens, and other necessary items as needed
- Complete other tasks as needed
EVENTS & PROGRAMMING
- Oversee the planning, organizing, and executing Headwaters hosted events on a monthly basis
- Oversee, develop, and maintain the events calendar
- Organize labor, set-up, and tear-down for events when needed
- Coordinate social media and news items
- Manage and review vendor and client contracts
CUSTOMER & COMMUNITY RELATIONS
- Field inquiries about venue and other parts of the facility
- Develop and maintain community partnerships
- Maintain and exceed high customer service standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 7 years of work experience, including 3 years of sales and event management, college degree preferred
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- “Hands-on” leader
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Conflict management
- Event planning and management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiar with Facebook and Instagram social media postings.
